Before knowing how to apply UHBVN New connection, it is important to know that UHBVN is a power distribution undertaking owned by Haryana State Government, also known as Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited. It supplies electricity to the northern parts of the state of Haryana. Its headquarters is located in Panchkula, Haryana, adjoining Chandigarh. The Chief Minister of Haryana heads this company.

Presently Panchkula and Rohtak are the two operation zones of this company. A Chief Engineer heads each zone. There are five circles in each zone. Panchkula zone comprises Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, and Rohtak zones with Panipat, Sonipat, Jind, Rohtak, and Jhajjar. A Superintending Engineer heads each circle.

How to Apply UHBVN New Connection Online

You live or do business in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Sonipat, Jind, Rohtak, and Jhajjar in Haryana. If you want to get a domestic or commercial electricity connection there, you must apply in Panchkula and Rohtak zone under Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited.

UHBVN New Connection Process:

For UHBVN New Connection, some steps have to be taken by the consumer, and some steps for SDO.

 Steps for Consumers

 Step-1: For UHBVN New E-connection, first go to the official website of the Haryana Government  Some instructions will be found on the web portal’s main page, first read them thoroughly.

Step 2: To apply the UHBVN New Connection, click on the Apply button in the Consumer Log in the Home Page section.

Step 3: As you click on Apply. The Online Application form for UHBVN New Connection will open on your screen. Fill in the General Information like Circle, Sub Division, Category, Date, Application for, Type of Supply from the Application Form’s Dropdown list.

Step 4: After this, fill in all the information sought, including your name and address in the Applicant Particulars Details section.

Step 5: In the Applied Load Details section, fill the information about Consumer Connected Load, Purpose of Supply, Contract Demand & Supply Metering Equipment, etc.

Required Documents for Apply Online UHBVN New Connection 

Step 6: You must have some papers for the UHBVN New Connection. Such as:

  • User Photo (File size less than 500KB).
  • Proof of Identity (File size less than 500KB).
  • Proof of Ownership (File size less than 500KB), all these documents Upload according to the defined file size.

Step 7: If you have already taken any Connection and want to get other UHBVN new connection in the same Premise / Property. So fill in the information about Account Holder, Account Number, Address, Category, Connected Load (KW), and Contract Demand (KVA) given in the application form.

Step 8: After filling the form, check the box of terms and conditions given below and fill the captcha. After this, click on Apply Button.

Step 9: A popup message of Final Save and Payment will appear on your screen. The application number will also be given with the message, “Your application has been successful.” Here, a link to Print out the Application Form will also be found. Go to this link and take a print out of the application form.

Step 10:

  • Carefully check Print Out whether all information is correct or not.
  • If you want to edit something, click on the button “No, I want to edit.”
  • After editing, click on Button Yes Submit given below.

UHBVN New Connection Payment

Step 11: UHBVN New Connection Consumers should keep in mind that within seven days of submitting the Online Application Form for New Connection, they must make Charge Payment within seven days, else their application will be canceled by the Department. This payment can be made both online or offline. After payment, UHBVN must get New Connection Payment Receipt.

Step 12: If you want to make an offline payment, then (i) Nigam Counters (ii) Epay Inforserve Pvt. Ltd, Panipat (iii) Atal Seva Kendra / Common Service Center (CSC) (iv) Harco Bank etc. The platform can be paid online.

Step 13: If you want to make an online payment, then (i) NEFT / RTGS (Yes Bank) (ii) Point of Sale (Yes Bank) (iii) Paytm (One 97 Communications) (iv) Via Bill Desk (Net Banking ) (v) UHBVN mobile app (vi) Payment can be made through a platform like Google Pay / PhonePe.

Step 14: For online, you have to fill your application number in the Enter E Form Number Column by going to the “Pay Charges Online” section of the official website and submitting it can make an online payment.

Step for Sub Divisions: –

The SDO starts its work after the consumer submits the application form and submits the UHBVN New Connection payment. For which he follows the following steps –

Step 1: The SDO will log in to the official website and checks the applicant’s online application and the papers uploaded with it, along with the online/offline payment. If all the documents are correct, they will allow them. If the documents are not right, they can cancel it.

Step 2: If the SDO understands that it is necessary to Verify the New Connection site, it will Verify it. If Payment Offline is done, then SDO receipt no. Fill in the form.

Step 3: SDO will approve Load with Allotted Feeder & Transformer Details.

Step 4: After this, the SDO will issue a Demand Notice to the consumer along with the estimated amount. When the Demand Notice is issued, the department sends an Alert through email to the consumer to deposit the Demand Notice amount. The consumer can deposit this amount either offline or online.

Step 5: SDO will complain of Demand Notice and Test Report.

Step 6: After the fieldwork is over, the SDO can issue the SCO if needed.

Step 7: If your load is more than 50KW, SDO conducts CEI Inspection, and after that, it releases a new Connection to the consumer.

UHBVN New Connection Applicaton Charges

  • If you want to see the Charge on Connection before taking UHBVN New Connection, then for this, you should go to the official website of the Haryana Government. 
  • Go to Calculate Your Charges in the Dashboard and fill in Category, Load & Meter Equipment information there.
  • As you fill in this information, Application Processing Charges & Demand Notice Charges will be displayed on the screen.
  • If you want to see Detail, then click on the “View Detail” button below.
  • You will get details of Application Processing Fee, Advance Consumption deposit charges, Meter Installation Charges, Meter Testing Charges & Fixed Service Connection Charges along with all types of Charges.
