Tnreginet Portal of Inspector General of Registration is an official web portal of the Government of Tamil Nadu, developed by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd for the Registration Department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Various types of services are provided to the citizens of the state through this portal. Citizens of the state can apply online to avail the benefits of various schemes and services run by the state government through this web portal.

Today, through this post, I will give you detailed information about various aspects of the Tnreginet Portal of the Government of Tamil Nadu like how to register to get the facility of the portal, how to search various services provided by the portal, how to check the status of the application form. E-Payment System-

E-Payment System is one of the eServices of the Registration Department of Government of Tamil Nadu and Part of Tnreginet Portal, which helps the citizens of the state to choose the service to be obtained from the registration department. Through this, Fees in connection with all the facilities available on the portal can be filled using the citizen e-payment system. To make a payment, fill in the details with the help of the form given in the portal and choose one of the methods of payment online (net-banking) or offline (counter payment in the bank).

In the case of online, the citizen can make his payment through the bank in which he has an account. If a citizen chooses offline mode after filling the format with service details, he can generate a challan from the portal for payment. One can pay that challan through any bank. The citizen can verify the status of the payment made by both the bank and the portal of the department if he wants. If the payment is successful, the citizen can visit the department with the challan / e-receipt to complete the process.

Tnreginet Registration Process

If you are a citizen of Tamil Nadu and want to register on Tnreginet Portal Inspector General of Registration, then follow the steps given below.

  • First of all, visit the official website of the Tnreginet portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open in front of you.
  • As soon as the mousse is taken on the registration option from the navigation menu on the home page, a Submenu opens.
  • From the sub-menu, click on the option of “User Registration”. A new page will open where you will get a note that if there is no work on the web portals in 7 days of registration, then its registration automatically expires
  • Another note will be that if the user has not used the web portal for three months, then its registration will expire automatically.
  • Here you will get the below note related to password, which should be read carefully and make your password.
  • After that select or type various information like user type, user name, password, security question, e-mail, date of birth, gender, mobile number, select type of ID proof, enter the number of ID Proof and Address, etc. from the drop-down box Please fill in the relevant column.
  • Fill in the captcha code given on the screen in the given column. As soon as you fill in the captcha code, a one-time password (OTP) will be received on your given mobile number.
  • Fill in the OTP received on the mobile number in the box of enter OTP and click on the option of “Complete Registration” to submit the registration form.
  • In this way, you will be registered on the Tnreginet portal. Now you can avail the facilities provided by the state government through this portal.

Process to Apply Encumbrance Certificate

  • First of all, visit the official website of the Tnreginet portal. Home page of Tnreginet portal will open
  • If you have not registered on this web portal, first register yourself by following the registration process mentioned above.
  • Enter your username and password in the login section given on the home page and fill the captcha code below and click on the login button.
  • After signing in, click on the option of “Encumbrance Certificate”.
  • Then click on the option of “Apply Online”.
  • An application form will appear on your screen as soon as you click on Apply Online.
  • Fill in all the information sought in the application form carefully and if necessary upload the relevant documents.
  • For uploading documents, fill in the details of the relevant documents and click on the upload button provided in front of it and select the source of your documents and upload them.
  • After filling the application form, click on the Submit button.
  • Keep in mind, do take a print out of the application form.

Process to Apply Any Document

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. Home page of Tnreginet portal will open
  • If you have not registered on this web portal, first register yourself by following the registration process mentioned above.
  • Enter your username and password in the login section given on the home page and fill the captcha code below and click on the login button.
  • After sign-in, click on the option to “create an application”.
  • Then click on the option to “create document”. An application form will open on your screen.
  • Fill in the information requested in the application form. Upload the documents if necessary.
  • After filling the application form, click on the Submit button.
  • Take care, take a print out of the application form.

Process to Search Encumbrance Certificate

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open in front of you.
  • Move your Mouse to the E-Services option from the various options given in the Main Navigation Menu on the home page.
  • A Sub Menu will open as soon as your Mouse goes to the E-Service option.
  • Now hover your Mouse on the option “Encumbrance Certificate” given in the Sub Menu.
  • An Additional Menu View EC of Encumbrance Certificate option will appear. Click on the link in View EC.
  • A new page will open on your screen from where choose one of the options EC or Document wise or Plot Flat Wise.
  • If you have selected the option of EC, then fill in the information of the zone, district, sub-registration office, EC Start Date, EC End Date, village, survey no and subdivision number, etc.
  • If you have selected the “document wise” option, then fill in the sub-registration office, document number, year, etc.
  • If you have selected the option “Plot Flat Wise”, then fill in the information like Zone, District, Sub-registration office, Village, Plot, Flat, etc.
  • Fill in the captcha code on the screen and click on the search button. The details of the Encumbrance Certificate will appear on the screen

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the option “Documents Status” from the options given in the Sub Menu and click on it.
  • A new page will open in front of you, in which options for temporary deed number or pending number or registration number will appear. Choose one of these options.
  • Fill in the number of the selected option and click on the option of “Search”.
  • On clicking, the status of your documents will appear on your screen.

Process to Search Stamp Vendor

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the “Search” option from the options given in the Sub Menu and move your Mouse over it. An additional menu will open as soon as you hover.
  • From the Addition Menu of “Search”, select the option “Stamp Vendor”.
  • After this from the drop-down box to zone, vendors name, etc.
  •  Select from the drop-down box and fill in the captcha code below.
  • Finally click on the button of “search”, the details of the stamp vendor will appear on your screen.

Process to Search Document writer

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.

Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.

  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the “Search” option from the options given in the Sub Menu and move your Mouse over it. An additional menu will open as soon as you hover.
  • From the Addition Menu of the “Search” option, select the “Document Writers” option.
  • After this, select zone, district, sub-registrar office, name, etc. from the drop-down box and fill the captcha code given below.
  • Finally click on the button “search”, the details of the Document writer will appear on your screen in front of you.

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the “Search” option from the options given in the Sub Menu and move your Mouse over it. An additional menu will open as soon as you hover.
  • From the Addition Menu of “Search”, select the “Society” option.
  • After this, select zone, district, name of the society, DRO name, sequence no, year of registration, etc. from the drop-down box and fill the captcha code given below.
  • Finally click on the button of “search”, the details of the society will appear on your screen in front of you.

Process of Search Marriage

  • To search marriage certificate, first, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the “Search” option from the options given in the Sub Menu and move your Mouse over it. An additional menu will open as soon as you hover.
  • From the Addition Menu of “Search”, select the option “Marriage”.
  • After this, choose one of the marriage types, registration wise or name wise, etc. from the drop-down box.
  • If you have chosen registration wise, then fill the sub-registrar office, registration number and year, etc.
  • If you have chosen name-wise, then fill in the information related to husband name, wife name, date of birth, date of registration, etc.
  • Fill in the captcha code given below and finally click on the button of “search”, the details of the marriage will appear on your screen.

Process of Search Birth and Death

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the “Search” option from the options given in the Sub Menu and move your Mouse over it. An additional menu will open as soon as you hover.
  • From the Addition Menu of the “Search” option, select the “Birth & Death” option.
  • Then choose one of the birth or death from the drop-down box.
  • If you have chosen birth, then fill in the certificate number, child name, gender, date of birth, name of the father, name of mother, etc.
  • If you have selected death, then fill in the information related to certificate number, person name, gender, date of death, place of death, name of father/husband, name of mother, etc.
  • Fill in the captcha code given below and finally click on the button “search”. Details of Death and Birth will appear on your screen.

  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.

  • After this, select zone, district, firm name, DRO name, running no, year of registration, etc. from the drop-down box.

Process to Search Chit Fund

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the “Search” option from the options given in the Sub Menu and move your Mouse over it. An additional menu will open as soon as you hover.
  • Select the “Chit and Fund” option from the Addition Menu of “Search”.
  • After this, select zone, district, agency, DRO name, sequence, year, group no, etc. from the drop-down box.
  • Fill in the captcha code given below and finally click on the search button. Details of Chit and Fund will appear on your screen.

Process to Know Duty and Fees

  • First of all, visit Tnreginet’s official web portal. The home page of the Tnreginet portal will open.
  • Go to the various options given in the Navigation Menu on the home page. Move your Mouse to the option “More” from the various options in the Main Navigation Menu.
  • As soon as your Mouse goes to the “More” option, a Sub Menu will open.
  • Now select the option “Duty & Fees” from the options given in the Sub Menu and click on it.

  • Now fill the Street Name or Village Name in the given column and click on the Button of Submit. You will get information related to your Jurisdiction displayed on your screen.

  • Click on the links or Icon of “Check Your Stamp Duty Valuation” from the various options given below on the home page.
  • As soon as you click on this link. You will be asked to log in first. First, fill in your username and password in the login section and click on Sign In.
  • After Login, click back on the link for Check Your Stamp Duty Valuation. A new page will open in front of you.
  • Fill in the correct information requested on the new page and click on the submit button.
