How to Apply DHBVN New Connection Online
Before telling about applying DHBVN New Connection Online, you should know that DHBVN is a power distribution enterprise owned by Haryana State Government. It is also known as Southern Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited. It supplies electricity to the southern parts of the state of Haryana. Its headquarters is located in Hisar, Haryana.
Presently Sh. Shatrujeet Kapur, IPS, Principal Secretary / Transport, Govt. of Haryana is the Chairman of this company and Sh. Balkar Singh (IAS) is the Director. Currently, this company has two operation zones in Hisar and Delhi. A Chief Engineer heads each zone. Each zone is divided into different circles, led by Superintending Engineer.
The Hisar zone consists of Haryana’s 5 major areas, namely Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jind, and Bhiwani. The Delhi zone consists of 6 regions Gurugram-I, Gurugram-II, Faridabad, Palwal, Rewari, and Narnaul. The company currently supplies power to industrial, agricultural, non-domestic, and domestic sectors to about 45 lakh consumers in 12 districts in southern Haryana.
DHBVN New Connection Application–
Suppose you live or do any business in districts like Bhiwani, Faridabad, Fatehabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Mewat, Mohindergarh, Rewari, Sirsa, Jind, Charkhi Dadri, Palwal, etc. in Haryana. If you want to get a domestic or commercial electricity connection, you have to apply for DHBVN New Connection in Hisar and Delhi.
DHBVN New Connection Process:
If you want to take DHBVN New Connection Online, some steps are required by the consumer and some SDO steps.
Steps for Consumers
Step-1: For DHBVN New Connection, first go to the official website of the Haryana Government. Where some vital information for the applicant has been provided on the web portal’s main page, please read them thoroughly once before applying online.
Step 2: To apply DHBVN New Connection, click on the Apply button in the Consumer Log in the Home Page section.
DHBVN New Connection Application Form –
Step 3: By clicking on the Apply button, the Online Application form for DHBVN New Connection will open on your screen. Select the general information given in the application form like Circle, Sub Division, Category, Date, Application for, Type of Supply from the dropdown list.
Step 4: Now fill in the required information, including your name and address, in the columns given in the Applicant Particulars Details.
Step 5: In the Applied Load Details section, the applicant should fill the information about his Connected Load (KW), Purpose of Supply, Contract Demand & Supply Metering Equipment, etc. Keep in mind in case of Ap category entered, load in BHP.
DHBVN New Connection Required Documents
Step 6: DHBVN New Connection requires some papers. Such as – (i) User Photo (File size must be less than 500KB), (ii) Proof of Identity (File size must be less than 500KB), (iii) Proof of Ownership (File size must be less than 500KB) (iv) Digital Signature
Step 7: Upload all these documents according to the prescribed file size. All uploaded copies should be self-attested and in jpg, jpeg, pdf, and png format only.
Step 8: If you want to apply online for the second DHBVN New Connection in the Premise / Property in which you have previously taken Connection. So fill in the correct information in the columns of Account Holder, Account Number, Address, Category, Connected Load (KW), and Contract Demand (KVA) given in the application form.
Step 9: Now read the terms and conditions given below the online application form and click on the check box button. Fill in the captcha given below and click on the Apply button.
Step 10: A popup message of “Your Application has been submitted successfully” will appear on your screen as Final Save and Payment. In this message, your application number will be written in the Format of A11-116-381. Here, a link to Print out the Application Form will also be found. Go to this link and take a print out of the application form.
Step 11: Carefully check the Print Out whether all the information is correct or not. If you want to edit something in the application form, then click on the option of “No, I want to edit.” After editing, click on the “Yes Submit” button given below.
DHBVN New Connection Payment
Step 12: DHBVN New Connection Applicants should keep in mind that they must make Charge Payment within seven days of submitting the Online Application Form for New Connection. If you do not pay within the stipulated time, the application will be canceled. This payment can be made both online or offline. After payment, the Applicant must get DHBVNNew Connection Payment Receipt.
Step 13: If you are willing to pay offline, then you can make the payment from NEFT, RTGS, Debit Card & Credit Card through various platforms like (i) Nigam Counters (ii) Epay Inforserve Pvt. Ltd. Panipat (iii) Atal Seva Kendra / Common Service Center (CSC) (iv) Harco Bank, etc.
Step 14: If you want to make an online payment, then you can make payment through various platforms like (i) NEFT / RTGS (Yes Bank), (ii) Point of Sale (Yes Bank), (iii) Paytm (One 97 Communications) (iv) Via Bill Desk (Net Banking) (v) DHBVN mobile app (vi) Google Pay / PhonePe
Step 15: Online payment can also be made from DHBVN Official Website. For this, go to the “Track the Status or Pay Charges Online” section of the official website of DHBVN, fill your application number in the Enter E Form Number column and click on Submit. You can make an online payment in this way.
Step for Sub Divisions Officer
The process of SDO starts after the consumer submits the application form and payment for DHBVN New Connection. For which he follows the following steps –
Step 1: SDO will log in on the official website and checks the online application and uploaded papers submitted by the applicant and the payment made online / offline. If all the documents are correct, the SDO will allow it, and if the records are not right, it will be canceled.
Step 2: If the New Connection site’s verification is necessary, SDO can visit to verify that site. If the consumer has made an offline payment, then SDO will fill the receipt number in the Online Application Form.
Step 3: After this, the SDO will approve the load, keeping in mind the Allotted Feeder & Transformer Details, etc. He will forward the application to the Division Officer. If SDO rejects the application, it does not need to be forwarded.
Step 4: After filling in all the required details, the SDO issues a Demand Notice to the consumer along with the estimated amount. As soon as the Demand Notice is issued, the electricity department sends an alert to the consumer through e-mail or mobile to deposit the Demand Notice amount. The consumer can deposit this amount either offline or online.
Step 5: SDO will fill the Compliance Report of Demand Notice in the system and approve the Test Verification Report.
Step 6: SDO will verify the Chief Electrical Receipt and upload the Line Diagram & Performa Report.
Step 7: After the fieldwork is over, the SDO can issue the SCO if necessary.
Step 8: If your load is more than 50KW, the SDO conducts CEI inspections, and if the load is less than 50KW, the applicant issues a new Connection.
DHBVN New Connection Charges
- If you want to see the Charge on Connection before applying DHBVN New Connection online, you should visit the Haryana Government’s official website.
- Go to the section of “Calculate Your Charges” in the dashboard and fill in Category, Load & Meter Equipment information there. On filling the above information, the Application Processing Charges & Demand Notice Charges will be displayed on the screen.

Q-2. What is the EL LED? When it glows?
Ans: EL LED is Indication Light, which shows the unbalanced current flow through Phase or Neutral. This uneven electrical current may be caused by incorrect matching or improper earthing. Two wires may be touching each other, or Earth Leakage is happening.
Q-3. If EL LED Light Blows, what should the consumer do?
Ans: If the EL LED Light is blowing, it means that the current leakage is happening somewhere else. So the consumer should see where the electricity flow leakage is happening, and it should be fixed.
Q-4. What is the importance of REV LED?
Ans: – REV LED is an indicator light that shows the reverse current flow from the consumer to the Grid.
Q-5. What action should the consumer take when there is a REV LED Blow?
Ans: If REV LED is blowing, then the consumer should keep the generator/invertors, etc., installed in his house away from the Grid. This light will stop automatically. If this does not happen, then you should call and get help from the company supplying electricity.
Q-6. Can a consumer see their current bill details online in DHBVN?
Ans: Yes, any consumer visiting the official website of DHBVN and click on the icon of “View Bill” given in the Main Navigation Menu. You can take the information about your current bill by entering the account number.
Q-7. Can a consumer complain online from the DHBVN web portal?
Ans: Yes, if a consumer has any complaint with DHBVN facilities or any personnel, then he can complain online from his home. For this, he can go to the official website of DHBVN and lodge his complaint by clicking on the icon of ‘Register Complaint’ given in the Main Navigation Menu. The consumer can not only file an online complaint but can also track it online.
